fuel sensor to instrument mismatch, Jaguar

Post by dom » Fri 22 Jun 2018, 15:02

Good day!

I am using XJ6 instruments in a car that I am building and look for a fuel sender to match the instrument. The Jaguar unit is calibrated for 200 Ohm (empty) and 30 Ohm (full). Is there a sender from a local store which has this values, or: Can I change one by cleverly using a resistor to match the instrument’s requirement?

It’s more important to show when the tank is half to empty than full.
Nothing is as it seems!

Aren't we lucky sometimes?
At MIDAS I found a kit from TAISCO GF-520P for R400 which has exactly that range!

And it was the only example they had.
