Calling all essex V6 gurus.
Any suggestions or ideas on keeping Ford V6 tappets quiet? Currently quiet for approx 2000kms after setting then have one on each bank becoming noisy . Was thinking of setting, verifying and then spot welding the nuts

V6's are prone to a bit of tappet noise especially with modified cam.

Take a sharp chisel and hit a X on top each nut and put it back in place. Never a noice again!!

Will definitely try the X. I do not mind a bit of tappet noise, a noisy tappet is a happy tappet but also do not want to adjust/set tappets every 1000kms done.
