As per First V8 i took your advise and tried Oom Jan out he built my V6 Motor and he takes pride in his work no cutting corners and offers great advise he knows his story when it comes to the V6 so im sure he is quiet learned in other vehicles

Fordislord im glad you where happy and passed his details on to others :) . I see he is now busy rebuilding someones 308 .

Does oom Koos Swanepoel still work on cars?
IndianaJones, I believe he still has a workshop in Stikland, but his son is now running it. Where in Stikland I do not Know, but I know where it was in Parow.

I have never personally used George Cummings in Durban, I did speak to a mate of
mine, Alan Mc Nab who has a immaculate 67 Mustang Fast Back who swears by George!
So he does have his customers who are very happy with his service & talents!

I can also give you the names of a Engine shop or two and a panel shop or two who I will never use.... But that might be legally tricky on an open forum....

too true to true...I think we can all name a list as long as our arms of panel shops who we would never use or recommend ! Probably the most challenging aspect of any restoration because sometimes when you pay more you dont get more when it comes to panel shops..

I know Kosie has KSD Developments on Willow Rd, Stikland. But I don't know if oom Koos would still work on one's oldie..

Thanks Len...that's encouraging. I've only heard positive things. That's practically all he does, I believe...build V8 engines, especially Chevy! Was there the other day, he's still got that mint, intoxicating KCC Cobra with the 418ci SBC motor :mrgreen:
