I have never personally used George Cummings in Durban, I did speak to a mate of
mine, Alan Mc Nab who has a immaculate 67 Mustang Fast Back who swears by George!
So he does have his customers who are very happy with his service & talents!
I can also give you the names of a Engine shop or two and a panel shop or two who I will never use.... But that might be legally tricky on an open forum....

Re: Old school mechanics by province?
too true to true...I think we can all name a list as long as our arms of panel shops who we would never use or recommend ! Probably the most challenging aspect of any restoration because sometimes when you pay more you dont get more when it comes to panel shops..Burnthosetyres wrote: I can also give you the names of a Engine shop or two and a panel shop or two who I will never use.... Fellow forum experts? We all know Rassie as the Fairmont GT expert.
Burt, Stealth, Bird455, Raceface, Chevyworld, etc, etc would any of you guys want to share your specialty and workshop address here?

Thanks Len...that's encouraging. I've only heard positive things. That's practically all he does, I believe...build V8 engines, especially Chevy! Was there the other day, he's still got that mint, intoxicating KCC Cobra with the 418ci SBC motorBurnthosetyres wrote:I have never personally used George Cummings in Durban, I did speak to a mate of
