Good day All

I am new to the forum and New to Ford :), My Dad had a few Ford's when I was growing up and I have always had a soft spot for the MK5 Cortina. I have managed to find one that was the same as the one my Dad had it is a 1981 Mk5 Ford Cortina 3.0GLS manual sedan (Clifton sands).

The car needs some body work and mechanical work but nothing that seems to serious (lol I hope).

Regards All

I am currently looking for recommendations for the following in Durban.

- A good Ford old school mechanic (honest and reasonable)
- A good panel beater/spray painter (I want to have the rust repaired and complete car resprayed to the original color (Clifton sands)
- A place or person that can advise on lowering the suspension (Lowering Springs /Compress springs car has wide low profile 13 inch rims and tyres fitted so needs the suspension to be lowered)
- A good Exhaust shop to fit a free flow system and tailpiece
- A Power steering shop that can diagnose and repair the creaking sound from the steering column

some other advice needed- Does the Aluminum tappet covers 3.0 V6 fit the blue block essex v6?
where can I find the Chrome Air filter housing/performance filter to fit the Essex V6?
What size bulb fits on the Bonnet/hood light?

looking for the following items for the body
- Bumber beadings (Front and rear)
- Chrome strip (Bonnet)
- rear left side light lens/light fitting
- Right rear window rubber
- Rear windscreen rubber
- Chrome beading around windows (especially the rear left long vertical piece closet to the rear windscreen)

Thank you All
