New Chevy member

Post by Chevy 54 » Mon 02 Feb 2015, 16:21

Hi,

I am Chevy 54. I own a 1954 Chevrolet 3100 pickup. I've always liked the pickup ever since I saw the Fritos van when I was kid.

I grew up with old cars like the ford cortina MK 3, 4s. Later mk1 escourts. And the whole drag racing scene. So my love for old vehicles is in my blood.

My hot rod was a birthday gift on my 31st from my wife. And my project took almost 10 years, mainly because of guys messing me around, which cost me a fortune in rework.

I finally got it on the road, last year. So I got to enjoy it with my family. But she still gives me some issues. And build is going on, adding more cosmetics.

Well that's rodding for you.

Wait!! Your wife bought you a hotrod for your birthday?? Does she have a sister? My wife wants me to sell my car because it makes it difficult for her to get the groceries out of her boot into the kitchen!

Welcome here, hope you have fun. Chevys rock!

Hi,

Thanks guys for the revving Welcome :D.

I tried posting pics of the bakkie, but the system would not allow. The pics are more than 500kb.

Yes, my wife bought this gift. Now she says that my Hot Rod is my mistress. Flippin thing is behaving just like one. Bloody temperamental. ;)

At one stage I could not take her out to any show or event, without some mechanical issue. But thanks to Speedway, all is good. :D
