Hi everybody, I am the proud owner of a 1962 Chevy C10 pickup, and 1958 Ford Custom.
The '62 needs some work, totally original. It has been standing since 1987. I bought it from the
owner about a month ago, after pestering him for 12 years he finally gave in!!
The '58 is being swapped tommorrow for I dont know what yet!! Maybe '53 Dodge pickup.
The new owner has a couple of cars he is willing to swop me for.
I will keep you posted, and ask lots of questions...!

No deal! It is amazing how everyone thinks his collection is worth a million.
I did not swop my '58, lots of nice project cars, but my vehicle is 90% complete.
I can not swop for a 23% car, even if it is very sought after.Well, back to work to finish
the remaining 10%!

Welcome ters.
When you have put lots of hours, money, no family time etc. in a project or projects, you WILL regard your collection worth a million. Talk is cheap, go and do a proper resto then we talk again!

No, no ters. That was not my intention either. I just made a remark that when you work hard for something it is appreciated. No other intentions. But I understand what you mean. Lots of uninformed people do not realize how much goes into restoring a car and expect to pay peanuts for it.
Anyway, all to their own. Enjoy the forum and your babies.
