Yesterdays' heroes in Somerset-West

Post by V8 fan » Sun 22 Jan 2017, 20:30

While waiting to finish some business in Somerset-West, we decided to quickly stop by one of our favourite showrooms where the owner have stunning cars on display, never mind the cars that aren't even open to be viewed by the public.

The owner has about 350 cars and they get rotated around once in a while.

Some of the cars also come up for sale due to owner already having such model etc.

On this day, one of the next cars on my list of oldies to own was a '60 Chevrolet Impala convertible. Complete standard with previous owner from Brits making the restoration many years ago.

Car is on great shape and functions are in working order.................................now I just need to modified my garages for more space. Car is 5,3m long and 2,1m wide.

There's also a stunning Oldsmobile 440, Pontiac Trans Am 4,9 and Ford 20M for sale.

Btw, the George motor show is also on the 11th - 12th of Feb ;)

Beautiful car, thanks for sharing....

I'd rather have the Olds 442 (the names derives from, 4 barrel carb, 4-speed manual, dual exhaust)

Howzit Ben!

Not too sure about the 442 deciphering.....

This specific car is fitted with a big block 442CUI V8 mated to a 3-speed AUTO.

I've driven that 442 ... From 68 you could order an auto box as an option ,but the the original 4-4-2 was exactly what Ben described ...
