Hey guys, does anyone have any info on the alfa transaxles? How much power can they handle, where can I find one, are parts relatively easy to find, and so on? I've had the mad scientist dream about putting one in my manta with a rover V8 (at some distant point in the future when I have some cash to spend on toys again, assuming I can find another rover since I'm trying to sell the one I have now...)
Would the improved (hopefully) balance of the car be worth all the hassle of modifying the axle and car to fit each other?
Thanks
J

Rather look at the ZF transaxles: Porsche 944/Audi etc. Tough as nails. People use them in GT40 replicas behing strong V8s.
Try and workout how much it will change the weight distribution - I don't know that it is worth the hassle.
