The mighty 333....
Re: The mighty 333....
In the late 80s and early 90 Sandton Traffic ad a fleet of 333's , by 92 only one was left.
I remember cutting alot of people out of 333's. Alpina's and later the 325is's

Re: The mighty 333....
Hi Tiaan, I think I know of one that may be available... I will check next week and let you know.. Black 745i M88 Auto, White Nappa interior. Hasnt moved in 2 years so owner may be interested in talking..FairmontGT wrote:Thanks Rassie
The 745i was a special built I think between '84 and '86 with the M1 motor in it http://www.bmwmregistry.com/model_faq.php?id=4
Very expensive to keep running though...
Never too late for a V8

Hi Hano seeing those pics makes me remeber when I used to drive
tow trucks the good old days when ford couriers with 350 HO s were tops.
Anyway I remeber seeing alot of 325is s overturned in the bucleugh interchange
especially in the rain, must be because its backside was so light with that limited slip
diff.cheers
Graeme

Re: The mighty 333....
A lot of those early 3 series were scary in the rain, even the 318s. Seem like a lot of the problem was with the original equiment Goodyear Eagles that BMW fitted to some of them.
A guy I worked with very nearly stuffed his brand new 318 through a wall in the rain - luckily his missed. He went straight to BMW dealers and demanded they change the tyres for another brand. Thy put on something else and he said changing the tyres transformed the car as it gripped a lot better.
