Arnie no need to be like this - E49 production was Low YES (hey they could have been eyeballing and e38 or e55) - but the guys are referring to the general model - and it is the guys on the forum's right to be cheezed of at some one for behaving counter to the vintage car esprit de corps.

Let us be specific. The photo presented represents an E49. Therefore, I direct my observations to this example.
The only Pirates, are those who arrive unannounced, with the express intention of relieving an owner of their property so that it may be saved. Halleluljah!!! Unfortunately, the spiritual uplifting is short lived, as once a car is rescued, the new owner usually manages to line his pockets when they quickly sell for a profit.
The world of classic cars has been irrevocably changed over the past decade. The decorum of which you speak is but a distant memory. Money now calls the shots.
