Les Faul 57 D100 Stepside

Post by 68barracuda » Fri 05 Sep 2014, 20:37

Friend of mine - he is also busy building the Blue 57 for my wife

Les's setup: 318 Poly - he is busy with a dual quad setup like back in the day, with TF 727 auto and a 8 3/4 mopar rearend
My wife's setup 318 LA, with Carter AFB, and NP 435 4 speed manual and 8 3/4 in the back (very soon an A 518 46RE with controller, if I have my way!).. and the exhaust will go out the back.

Door panels are being laboriously made out of 40mm Kiaat planks

Both will feature power steering, AC and electric windows - and discs...all over

For now the twins will be Know as Red Ram and Blue Ram - two correct vintage Ram Mascots have been ordered.(eish the price 8O )

Here is his work in progress - the fact that he suffers from retinitis pigmentosa is not deterring him - but he settled on Dodge trucks so that when the time comes that he cannot work anymore, he can continue with his hobby by feel - and knowing everything is from memory.

Great guy and a Good Friend - he does not want me to post the Blue Ram yet as he is not happy how she looks at this stage

Johan he is a great guy. And his retirement plan is to continue building these kind of trucks - takes about 2 years at this stage - he is a techincal manager - so full time job.

BTW one of the cars I would really like to get my hands into is an Opel Manta.. To Complement my Barracuda

So his name is Les Faul! There a Manta in Vanderbijlpark and one here in Meyerton, I see it time to time unknown owner!
