Hi Keith,

The engine mounts are available here in the UK from Real Steel part number BY2287 and they list the models that used them on their website www.realsteel.co.uk so you might be able to get them in Aus.

Nice Perana by the way. Enjoy.
Cheers

Hi Thanks for the info I contacted them with part number and they have come back saying they don't know if it fits. So do you know if that part number is correct? I can try to order them if there not right they are not that expensive but would be great to know for all of us that there is a replacement. Keith

Hi all, now I'm peed off. The Perana has lots of issues trying to fix them but chasing my tail. Firstly Engine mounts contacted recommend supplier but no contact back, looking for top strut mounts can't get any( need something it bangs and clanks over every bump)And most importantly it won't change gear now because some top mechanic adjusted the clutch. Finally need new drive shaft uni joints and just don't know what to do. I'm between three jobs on Holidays at the moment meaning three different Capris and trying to get this one running(properly). Thanks Keith

I'm not a Perana expert, but I have to think you would be able to source those parts in Australia. Maybe you could take a sample to your local rubber & mouldings shop. Or even search Gumtree.

If the engine mounts is the same as the V6 mounts:

If not:

Hi all, after two weeks holiday returned to find the Perana has bitten my new v6 Capri. Parked the Perana on the hoist with the v6 below it and the clutch slave cylinder is leaking and put brake fluid on the bonnet of the v6 ruining a new paint job. So not very happy. My thinking now is to replace clutch and renew the clutch slave etc. my question is does the motor need to come out for this and what steps are required ie does it work like the v6 with angling the motor and box or must you do the crossmember as well. Also what clutch and slave cylinder should it have? Also any idea on engine mounts again as would replace these at the same time. Keith
