Limited production number vehicles.
Limited production number vehicles.
In my quest to find something different to buy, I came across some very interesting models wich had a limited production time. Other than the Can Am, Perana, 333i's, 325is's. Not talking specials like Ford Montana, Toyota Hi-Lux Legend etc.
Ford Laser 2.0i RS fitted with Mazda 16V powerplant is one (800 built). Other hot hatches would be Opel Superboss and TS, rumoured VW Golf Spitze, Toyota TRD's . Some others: Datsun 160/140Z, Ford RS2000, Gordini, Interceptor, Exocet.
Add any you may think of?

Not really a question Basie, although local would be lekker and within grasp. Some cars that we owned, made an impressiongordini wrote:By the looks of the question, its only RSA cars
on the local scene.
In the late 90's I owned a mk1 Gti, thought it was the most potent little rocket ever! Untill Mitsubishi Tredia Turbo, Superboss and Uno Turbo appeared.... . That all changed when in '96 I installed a 16V in the Golfie Pakslae pappa!!
Although locally and internationally available, Lancia Delta Integrale's must be somewhere on top of any drool list .

Very nice cars you guys mentioned there, but what about the special FIAT's like the 125 Scorpion, Mk2 128 Rally and 131 Racing?
Ters, here is my 16v GTI eater!
I have had my Uno Turbo for 9 years now, love it to bits.
I am actually one of the Administrators on the Uno Turbo forum.

Sidie! Ate Uno's, Superboss's you name them after my 16V conversion . Golf 3 Gti gearbox gave me 118km/h in second gear, topped out on 225km/h. Not adviseable in a '84 model Golf! Doors would pull open so much I could stick my polony's through the gap . Your Uno stock, or muthi'd?

I brought it back to standard about 4 years ago, luckily I kept all the original parts. But before then it was worked a lot yes, TD04 13T turbo at 1.2 bar boost and 50hp NOS. Fastest time at Tarlton was 13.4 but with Dunlop semi's. With the gas it made just under 180kw's on the wheels. On Sunday nights I use to go hunt M3's, that never got old!ters wrote: Sidie! But she is stock standard again now, making a whopping 74kw's on the wheels.

I think in the middle 70's there was a corolla SR5 called Gold that was limited to 200.

Toyota had 2 limited edition coupe models of the 3rd generation Corolla(1974-1981).werner wrote:I think in the middle 70's there was a corolla SR5 called Gold that was limited to 200.
The SR5 Black Hawk, which was Black with Gold decals, hawk on the bonnet ala Pontiac Firebird.
And the SR5 Silver Fox/Wolf, not sure, Silver with Black decals.
CAR Magazine tested a Black Hawk in the January 1980 issue.
