Grand Bazaars was on the corner of voortrekker and station streets in Parow. Opposite the post office. They later on took over punkies and at some stage became shoprite.

As motivation, a primary school teacher allways told us the story of the first owner of Grand Bazaars having a horse and cart and started his bussiness going around at farms and selling his goods to the farmers.

That school teacher only had chevs. When his Impala was in for a service, he had a special lady that took him too school and back home after school. Never in his life he climbed into another car.

Werner thank you very much for sharing those photos. Warren Lotter ( Stealth ) on here had some great photos much the same from his family with Fairmont's racing. Not sure if GT's but still great photos.

Love to see more if anyone has some.

I knew a guy who used to race a Fairmont GT in Cape Town in the early/mid 70s (wasn't Koos), he could tell a tale or two of running out of brakes and throwing the thing into corner and the adrenaline of racing something so big on such a tight track (Killarney certainly isn't Mt Panorama) :D
Alfa GTV 3.0
Ford Capri Perana V8
Chevy Lumina Supercharged

Wait not for tomorrow to do what can be done today, live each day for one knows not what the next day may hold.
