Hi guys - I need advice on a turbo 400 - when in D the box takes off in 3rd , it does not change down as well - I'm currently driving it through the shifter ,ie 1st 2nd then drive - the shifts are firm and engages all gears and the vac module is connected to the manifold. I do have a cam on the motor but it gives enough vacum for brakes so I'm assuming its enough for the box as well.I was told the box has a shift kit put in . Plse help and thanks for any input

The changing down part could be the soloniod is not working or your kickdown switch is not connected. You
should be able to press your accelerator pedal to the floor which engages your kickdown switch which changes the gears down.

Make shure that the TV Cable is correctly fitted to the throttle.

Hi - I just figured out that the box has a manual - shift kit - so not stuck in D after all.

Very interesting, I didn't even know that it was possible to do that.
What would be the advantages?

none for everyday driving in D - but for race mode it lets the driver select shift times
