i just had my capri gauges checked and calibrated. if you guys are in durbs i recommend SPE instrumentation, they really helpful, even gave over the phone lessons how to wire it back up properly(the wiring was butchered on my car).

Vimzo here. I am looking for voltage stabilizer for instrument cluster for Ford Capri. It is a 1970 model 1600GT. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Vimzo, not sure what you mean by stabilizer, do you want it to get a constant 12V for your instruments? Why exactly?
To get a constant voltage, I use a voltage regulator, for 12V use 7812, 3 pin IC with a large capacitor 10000uF 25V before the regulator and a smaller cap 10uF 25V after the regulator. ps... current rating on that IC isnt too high but should be fine for instrument cluster, you can increase the current rating slightly by using a heat sink.
Should cost you like R10 for these parts, but thats if its even what you are looking for cause maybe im missing something here.
Maybe there is a part ready-made for your purpose i dont know.

Thanks for the feedback.
According to a few auto electricians I must get the exact fit and believe me I asked the same questions of whether I could modify it a bit like you suggested. The unit I am looking for has a metal cover, very small and 2 pins sticking out from the unit. The unit earth's on the rear of the instrument cluster and the 2 pins must be for +ive and signal. What's happening now is the fuel and temp goes to full when the tank is half and the engine just starts up and is cold.
