Sorry to hi-jack your thread but is the yellow escort's engine still standard, I assume it's 1600?

Hi it's cool,
Ummm... Ja it's, dead standard 1600 sport apart from the typical branches and freeflow exhaust and electronic distributor, also threw out the 4speed for a type9 5speed Gearbox! ;)

Hi Jaco

That a lot of smoke for a std 1600........I've never driven one of those 1600 kent? engines and hopefully it can do the same.

Jip its a 1600 kent engine with a 32 weber carb, that lots of smoke was a bit aided with a little water... :oops: :D and my wheel size is a bit small 175/65/13, so in general she loose traction quite easy

Gonna start up the 289 today to check if everything is running smoothly, just hope it does!!! :?

Sorry man Johan was only wishing goodluck with the start up of the engine, and saying thanks for the Ford V6 Camshaft I gave him to get machined that it went good.

then I said to Johan its a pleasure and what profile it is now if its a wild one and he must let me know if it made a difference to the power or not :D
