After a VW beetle the next worst car to own? no shame I almost rolled a mini when I was 18 and because it never had enough power to get up a steep hill, then it started rolling back down and the breaks did not work as good going backwards, so turned and right rear wheel lifted pavement and left stopped and car flipped and was balancing on the left 2 wheels looking down a long steep hill. luckily my mate could climb out and push the car back onto 4 wheels. Got big whip lash as he pushed it way too hard. Ever since that and having to help my dad repair his friends car I have not been a fan of them. But some love them.

I am impressed - you are correct!

For the first two years of Mini production Austin Variants were 'Austin Sevens', Morris variants were 'Morris Mini Minors'.

The 'Se7en' wording was used in marketing materials.

In 1961 they all became simple 'Mini'

The giveaway for me was the outside hinges and slide windows, so it had to be just before it became the mini. Like someone said, "between google and myself, we know everything."
