Re: SA Production Car Racing Homologation Specials
A snake and a rat were living in the car very happily until we tried to get them out. Rat did put up a show.

Don't see any 333i's anymore. Why do you recon the 325IS was a better car? Handling?
Great pic btw.

Re: SA Production Car Racing Homologation Specials
Yes, apart from the lack of PS (in some, as you could have either PS or A/C, not both), the car still had the stock 323i four-stud setup, with a much heavier engine up front, whereas the 325iS had a lighter engine, together with significantly redesigned 5-stud suspension and brake set-up, borrowed from the European E30 M3.sidedraught wrote:...Why do you recon the 325IS was a better car? Owners recon the handling gives you a regular scare and is...errr..."entertaining", to describe it with some optimism

Mazda RS Coupe
Looks like the RS Coupe was released with improvements that came from the track.
Wonder how many of these cars survived?

Capella RS was a fast car back in the day, didn't realize the 131 Racing was that much faster. 0-100 in 10.5 compared to the FIAT 0-100 in 8.5

Thanks for posting, Jaco...I'm still not sure that it qualifies as a "homologation special" though, with merely a set of lowered springs.Scorpionman wrote:Mazda RS Coupe

I can't seem to find ANYTHING on this car...although, I haven't enquired with MSA yet. It is almost as though it was there and then, POOF, it was no more. I don't think I've ever seen one in the flesh.
That ND car is probably a little pile of rust somewhere today...
Wonder how many they sold?
