The Lupini's of Camaro and CCA fame claim to have the Marriner Lark. They were going to report on its restoration progress in every issue but there has been a deathly silence since. I see he is selling the Camaro, probably tired of engine blow-ups!

Can anyone give details on this project and is it REALLY the Marriner car?

Does anyone remember the Golden- and Silver Hawks? There are two great examples racing in this country, one at Zwartkops and one at Killarney.

I'm sure Gunter will remember the ones raced at the ovals.

It is a lovely looking car. He just needs to get it going a little quicker. I believe they're a handful to drive.

I ran with the Hawk for a lap or two in practice. The car is obviously heavy and I guess brakes are a problem. But a lovely car.

They don't seem to handle very well and seem to have brake problems, that is the racing ones. The one up at Zwartkops seems to run hot and cold.

I wonder why because they are pretty low cars.

Does anyone remember the Ramblers that used to roam our country, with their heavy V8 sound?

Francis Tucker of Kyalami fame used to race one with some success. I have some pics of this truck flopping around corners. It looked pretty standard but I'm sure it wasn't.
