Hi guys
just want to find out what should the running temp be on a V6.
With the twin fans, recently rebuild an sapphire and it is running
between 100*C- 95*C.
Is that not a bit to hot???
Running temprature
Re: Running temprature
I am no Ford expert, but should it not run at 80-90°C? Check your thermostat and radiator.

Re: Running temprature
Before you go chasing non-existant problems, is the gauge right?
Have you got the correct sender in the block? European fords use a multitude of different senders.
Simple test:
Get an ohm meter.
Warm the car up to the indicated 100 degrees.
Disconnect sender wire and measure resistance of sender.
Let car cool and then remove sender.
Dangle the sender in some boiling water (pot on the stove, or kettle) for a few minutes. (water boils at 100 at the coast, about 97 in Joburg)
Measure the resistance.
Is resistance the same? If so you can believe your gauge. If not, sender or gauge are wrong or mismatched.
