Coffee & Cars - Cape Town

Post by Daryl » Mon 16 May 2011, 18:12

On DSTV, Ignition channel 265 on Chasing Classic Cars they went to a "Coffee and Cars" in California The idea is kindof a parkoff with all marques.

I would love to do a monthly meeting of cars, no criteria, just your pride and joy. Something in a public place where people can see some cars they may never see ordinarily or just something different.

I like Muizenberg Surfers Corner as a Southern Suburbs venue (coz Knead is a great coffee shop and right there!) possibly on a Sunday morning.

Shall we make a provisional date? Say Sunday 29th May. 09:00. Parking along Beach Road beachfront.

Please put it out there to any other forums, I know I would like to see some interesting cars and stuff.

Maybe each vehicle should have a little blurb / pictorial?

Great idea, have been wanting to do something like this for a while, just havent had the time to actually put something together. Muizenberg suits me very well....being 5 min away! May even extract the noisy(hole in the exhaust) Capri for this event.

Ok so this is definitely on..

I have had positive response from the Streetracing Forum and it will be great if you all post this on other forums you may belong to. I think it will be nice to see new faces and different vehicles (including bikes)

I think there are about 200 parking spots along the beachfront in front of Knead and then up around the circle near the station and a few more adjacent. The parking lot in front of the Pavilion is also fairly empty on a Sunday morning. Arrive early if you want a parking spot near the coffee shop or play area on the grass.
