Didnt even know about the auction. Not so far from me. If I knew I would have been there. What cars were auctioned and what sort of prices considering we are in a recession.

1973 Pontiac Firebird, 1961 Plymouth Belvedere , 1939 Ford , 1975 Ford Ranchero and a few others....i was very suprised as the cars fetch MUCH higher prices than i expected....to ad to this,a few of them were de registered and had no papers.

Can you remember what the '39 Ford went for Gunter? And was it a sedan or coupe?
Don't want to sell mine when its finished, but would like to know market value.
Thanks,
Doug

Don't think there is a results list....the + - 8 classic cars was part of probably 500+ items that was sold (various used spares etc tractor parts etc etc)

Doug, i have it written down somewhere...i will give you a call later.

I viewed the cars on my way back from Hartenbos on the tuesday. The Ranchero was in a very good condition with only 50 odd thousand kms and i was very interested but i believe it was sold in the region of 100k,the Pontiac Firebird 170k but was also in mint condition. One of my friends bought the Dodge with a chopped roof for 22k.The Ford was a normal sedan but not sure of price.Funny enough i phoned the old man in February when he was still alive and then he wanted already 150k for Ranchero
