TH350 gearbox casing

Post by turbo-gp » Mon 18 Jan 2016, 11:15

My TH350 casing has a hairline crack. Any help in sourcing another one will be appreciated.
ps- the crack runs from top to bottom along the left of the box so welding it up is not an option

That looks like a powerglide transmission to me?

There is some striking resemblance to a powerglide.

Try Stanley Heinz out your side of the world. I bought some powerglide tail housings a couple of years ago from him, he might still have the cases?

I know my brother also has a couple of powerglides we keep in stock for our racing effort, so if you can't come right, ill ask him if he wants to sell you a case?

My mech seems to have sourced a casing. I will let you know if it doesn't work out. I really appreciate the assistance ;)

How come you can't weld it? If done properly it can be stronger than original.

"done properly" is the part that concerns me most with this sort of welding. :?
