73 Rancherro Rebuild

Post by Gr8 V8'S » Mon 02 Dec 2013, 15:05

Hi All,
I am new to this forum and hope you can assist me. I am rebuilding a 73 Ranchero and urgently require a brake booster and master cylinder. I will also need some other spares as we go along, i am sure........but need to know whom would be able and prepared to assist in this matter.

Thanks and enjoy the rest of the week......

Hi Gr8.....if you're in JHB, try Summit Brake and Steering in Rivonia: Frank and Bill are old-school and really know their stuff. The boosters are like hen's teeth but you can get a brand new MC of exactly the same type no prob. Bill and Frank may well, however, suggest a conversion to a Toyota or Golf booster/MC setup.

Summit 011 803 6500

Hope this helps, Justin

Sorry Gr8, kleen forgot to take pics.

Is you Ranchero the XY model (Fairmont GT)? The booster I have came out of a 1974 Ranchero.

I need to test it before I can say it is ok.

Will get back to you

Cheers
