FORD SIERRA

Post by johan wepener » Wed 18 Nov 2020, 18:22

I want to buy a Ford Sierra in original good condition. No modifications, no cracked dashboard, no

fancy rims. No chancers. Preferably V6 Essex 3 liter.

Cash buyer and will collect, wherever.

Thanks

Yes, I saw the collection.

Far from Cape Town ....

I know there has to be some Sierra cars left still in good condition. Will be patient.

Not many years ago Sierra's was available all over the place.

But then one day, gone !!

Neat unmolested original examples became like hen's teeth.

My advice to members --if you eye a certain older car, while it is still plentiful

available, take the best example now, at a very decent price, and keep it.

Before you wipe your eyes that specie has disappeared, just vanished. And only

modified, restored or rust bucket zooped up examples with endlessly wide rims and gutter pipe exhausts

remain. Sorry, there will still be available that excellent original one, but you will not

be able to pay the price. You will have to brake the bank, or not able to buy.

It is surprising how one day there are plenty and you don't really think they will just be gone but that is certainly the case.
I was just thinking the other day how all the older Astra's seem to be gone when not so long ago they were still a common sight on the road.

Very true, the Sierras and sapphires were dime a dozen, back in 2014/2015,
I remember the doing some homework on the IRS models, they were selling and very decent prices,
Its weird now cos just as the sapphire hit the 30yr old mark, prices rocketed.
