Renault Gordini - WANTED

Post by Scouser » Mon 17 Jul 2017, 21:54

Desperately trying to find a Renault Gordini to pass onto my Old Man as a retirement gift.

He's often mentioned wanting to buy one to restore himself but unfortunately I'm not much of a Gordini man so not entirely sure what I should be looking for...

If anyone has a Gordini for sale, or knows of a Gordini for sale, please drop me a line.

Thanks

Those are my best non muscle cars ever . Always wanted one but never had the money when i was younger . Originals are as scarce as hens teeth and i think you will now only find cloned Gordinis built from R8 models . i have seen some for sale at well over R200K

Buying a clone does not make a full Gordini. Like puting a v8 in a Firenza and then call it a Can-am clone. There is way more than just the engine, headlights and dashboard that are different. Keep looking and find a genuine Gordini rather than a wanna-be. Gonna cost but worth it.

I used to have an R10 Alconi, also a great car as an alternative (if you can find one).
Cheers

Thanks guys, appreciate your input. As mentioned, I'm flying blind here so what should I be on the look out for?

My Dad wouldn't be too interested in a full restoration, more the nostalgia of years gone by.... :)

This is not directed at you but I mean why POUNDS when the currency of South Africa is RANDS? Does that mean if the currency gains R2 tomorrow the price will fall accordingly.

Oh and if you buy in South Africa, one is definitely paying in Rands.
