Re: Ford Fairmont
Okay here are some questions...
What are the parts availability like on these cars? Referrring to lenses etc.
Disc brakes - are there discs that could be adapted from another car or could I buy new discs?
How difficult would it be to fit a 302 Windsor with a T5 transmission? How much do these things weigh?
It's tempting at this stage, plus my folks need a new tow vehicle

Re: Ford Fairmont
Parts are all available in reproduction from australia, but you can get good used parts from guys like Burt.
Im sure you can use brakes from another ford on it, dont know but if any of the fairlanes had disk brakes it would be an easy swap.
Weight with a v8 is +- 1700 to 1800 kg, the official documentation says 1450, but thats not true.
302 should be an easy swap, you had fairlanes with a 302 fitted that had exactly the same engine bay. tunnel etc.
