Is this a genuine convertible? Where does the top frame go? Or is it a mutilated coupe?

Looks like a chopped (mutilated) coupe to me as well; where the vert top well would be is taken by the rear package shelf.

has anybody else noticed that all this user's posts are to do with car, parts or projects for sale, except the obligatory intro...

Yep - is that a problem. This may not be, but some of the other offers have been really good deals. Or don't we want to be told of these unless the person offering comes on here to talk crap too??
just because you welded it - doesn't mean it's welded......

Speaking of "getting pissed off". I once drove up to PTA to see a convertible Firebird, only to get there and find that the car gives the options of 'closed roof' or 'leave roof at home'. Man, was I pissed off! :x The seller should've atleast said the car was chopped, instead of waisting my time/petrol.

Another thing that pisses me off is people destroying nice cars, by thinking they can make it convertible.
Unless it's genuine, it cannot and should not be called convertible, cause what it is, is a hardtop missing the roof.
If you want to feel the wind in your hair with minimal cost, buy a f*%#ing go-kart.
