The car had been stored ever since his only race in Imola 1972.
Now rebuilt and used since 2014. A new, comprehensive FIA pass had been issued featuring the “turbo” front which allows for more downforce.
Engine is back in the car. We offer a test drive in Zolder who has open days, or on your own track of choice.
This is a private sale direct from the owner. Price upon request. Vehicle is near St. Goar/Cologne in the owner's shop who owns, builds and races McLaren since 1975. Bear in mind that he only speaks german.
In the right hands this car is unbeatable. You’re looking at more than 40 years of experience in building, modifying and racing Can-Am.

Stunning. Looking at the pictures I can imagine what it sounds like.

Re: McLaren M8F Can-Am / Interseries
sounds like this:
In the 90s I made sure to be in the pits at the Nürburgring when they started them. I stand behind one and listen to the open exhaust at idle.
I would be able to take 3 to 7 seconds of it before I had to close my ears... On four jack stands the car moves around due to the vibrations of the motor. And then, once warm, some would rev them to 3.500 rpm... They peaked at 7.000, unless you had a SB Chev.
We once build one and guaranteed 8.500 rpm, only to see that the driver revved it to 10.500! That's when the engine builder smiled and said: Now the warranty expired.
