Hi 68Camaro,

Nice looking car from the pics. 8O

You really need to do your homework on this because if this is a original SS/RS car with matching motor its probably well worth the money. If its not at R850k its probably expensive in my opinion for a Camaro. If it was a Mustang I would have been able to tell you how to authenticate it but I am sure someone who knows all things Camaro will point you in the right direction. You can also google Camaro VIN decoder but this will req you getting the VIN.

I stand to be corrected but I think from 68 in USA the motor number had to match the VIN. So that would tell you its a match.

If I was selling a car as numbers matching and a original SS/RS car I would have all this info ready for buyer. If he does not how does he know what he is selling is in fact true and correct himself?

I'm not sure what the SS / RS options means. But I've seen a few SS 68 Camaros for sale at R220-350k

What makes you think not SA?

high walls, facebrick, grass and pseudo/modern tuscan house suggests it is SA?

And the guys think just the Mustang sellers are crazy !
but seriously I think its expensive too but if it is a SS/RS it may be worth a lot more than we think.

The car looks very good in the photos.

If you doubt its originality, do a web search, there are tons of Camaro information available.
http://www.camaros.org/diffs67.shtml

I'm not a Camaro expert, but "FULL RESTORATION INCLUDING ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL & INTERIOR RESTORATION TO ITS ORIGINAL GLORY", not true.
The Edelbrock parts, side exit exhausts, does not make an original restoration.
And shouldn't a 1967 SS have the "bumblebee" stripe around the nose, and not the "GT" stripes(Z28 stripes) in the length?

I know we shouldn't compare, but if it could be imported, and it is indeed an original 67 350 RS/SS, Hagerty and NADA puts its value at around $26000 to $30000 in this condition. Usual guesstimate is to multiply with 20 for imported value in Rands, puts it at R520000 to R600000.
