1960 Ford Prefect
Hi Guys,
Not a muscle car but something to take to shows or give to your son to modify, although I will not recommend it. I am offering her to the members first and would rather not place her in OLX or Junk mail, which will attract all sorts of characters.
I am selling my 1960 Ford Prefect in better than new condition. Found her in 2006 in a barn on a smallholding in Heidelberg, where she was stored for 25 years. It took me two years and lots of money to restore. Most new spares imported from Small Ford Spares in UK. She is fully refurbished from bumper to bumper.
She is original except for the wide rims (Vaal Piet), has leather interior and still the first original 997cc overhead valve motor introduced in the 1960 Anglias. This is not a fast car, one learns to drive in the left lane and let the faster cars pass, but that is when you get a hoot with a wave of acknowledgement.
My wife calls her "Miss Perfect" and that she is indeed. She could be quite something with a 1600 Kent Xflow and side draught Webbers.
I have not driven her more than 1000km for the last 3 years. I am getting to old now and is looking forward to my retirement end December, although I am thinking of starting a small business from home next year and may even consider swapping for a small bakkie with a canopy.
Asking R48,000 neg. (082 778 1200)
Cheers
Danie
