Okay, I did a few follow-ups. The shop made progress on the rear control arms. I got the rear uprights a while back, but took no picture. The chassis is painted. Let me see what I can upload. Okay, file size too big. That put me off already, sorry. I will reduces the size another day. Maybe a websit...

File too big? Why can't it be reduced automatically, this is a computer after all... :-)

Not much of an update, but I got the block, diff, transmission. Still need a beelhousing.
Meanwhile I get the suspension welded and the rear upright machined.

I found a used one on ebay, get it sent to my mate in Maine who will slow-mail it to SA.
I can give you contacts for new (steel?) ones. They cost an arm and a leg... (Qucktime $550 and up)

The VIN plate is no proof, sorry. The stamped number would be. I have the 1997 registry, 1385 is a well known car from various SAAC conventions (as of 1997)

But you know what? I am not concerned, because I don't intend to buy it. Even if it was for sale.
So, go, drive it!
