Re: CKD South African built Sunbeam Tiger

Hi Colin, the engine number is at the top of the block behind the right hand head looking from the front of the engine. Is the rear of the engine under the front valence blocking your access? I will take a pic of my engine if it will help? My engine is currently out of the car.

Re: CKD South African built Sunbeam Tiger

Re: Unfinished projects for sale

That is correct, the numbers on the tags should match the chassis number stamp and the engine stamp, but if you would prefer to not post up publicly you can send interested parties a private message with the pictures.

Re: CKD South African built Sunbeam Tiger

Hi, nice Tiger.
Does the engine number have BG before the 386? If not it won't be a Perana engine.
I think new imported unstamped engines were given a number by the Traffic Department but I think there was a logo included.

Re: 1965/66 Opel Rekord L Rally GMSA

Hi Johann, nice to hear from you again. Shame about the Opel, I had two of those one was a station wagon, great cars. Hope you find something to keep you occupied, as Jacques suggested, maybe model building and customising as that is your passion. Have a Merry Xmas and a fantastic new year. All the ...
