what if there is to much oil in the box??

hi guys finally got my V8 running this weekend but found the gearbox to only move in reverse no forward gears. when shifting to D or L1/L2 you can feel the the gearbox engaging in the gear with little movement. it moves forward slowly and then stops moving and rev....if you keep revving up and down ...

I wonder whats the asking price for the 308...might be good for spares on mine...

is there any way to find out?
where are these cars located?
