Re: Holden Monaro GTS 350

Hi all, HT 350 Monaros were definitely sold in RSA, but *very* few of them. I'd say less than 50, and maybe half were autos (Powerglide), half manuals (Saginaw) ... thats a guess...but I'd be surprised if there were more than that. I know of at least 5 here in Australia, they have the correct codes ...

Re: 1969 holden Monaro

Exchange rates dont have much to do with it - its how desirable the local car enthusiasts find a model that determines how much money it will command locally. For example, in Australia people will gladly pay more for a 1970 Monaro or Falcon GT than a new Comodore SS, how many people in South Africa...

Re: 1969 holden Monaro

So what would that cost you in aus $ ? At R199000 it would convert to $24000 AUD. You struggle to find a good Monaro from the late 60's early 70's for that price now. Considering that a stock 6cyl can now fetch up to $45,000AUD, this price looks reasonable. plus your export, shipping, import, GST a...

Re: 1971 Chevrolet SS (Holden HG monaro)

Hi mate, It's a really difficult question to answer without some additional details and a few pics at least, and even then it's not that easy for me, because I don't live in RSA so not sure how things are going in the local market. Others here may be able to provide some thoughts on this. So a few q...

Re: 1971 Chevrolet SS 308 Resto

Yeah 72... if you follow that link I posed, you'll see that at least one other SS (a guy in Brisbane) has the same LITER spelling as yours. But a really original example I have seen form RSA had the LITRE spelling as mine.. So it's a bit of a mystery as to what is correct at this stage... Cheers Pau...
