Re: ROSTYLE WHEELS

Hi,
Escorts both Mk1 and Mk2 were picky about rim offsetts, I think 20-30mm was std. With wrong ofsett wheel you end up with a crappy ride and wheel wander on cambered roads
Rather work with zero to +10 set to meet the cars requirement. otherwise you will need to widen arches etc.
Just my thoughts,

Re: I Dropped It! Too Much??

Still looks good , Practicality of a lowered car is another story. A close friend got hold of a set of Jamex lowering springs, but the rear coils soon collapsed. Common story with saffs if too low is that the circlip behind CV pops out . Also coilovers only avialable from Uk,and they not cheap. Eiba...

Re: MkII Cortina Perana V6 racer

KR has it right. I got the car running earlier this year, around March/April I think. I then had a very stubborn issue with a spongy brake pedal that drove me up the wall, but it got fixed eventually. It ran well enough, I had high hopes for good lap times. .....and then I sold it. Part of a larger...

Re: Customizing Dashboards

Would be interesting to see a digital dash setup in a retro flavour. Interesting link below on whats being done on a Mk1 escort 6 dial dashboard using a 8 inch tablet LCD, http://bytesandbolts.com/tag/mk1-escort/ Also the Torque app can be used of most ECUS via the OBD cable to give real time info, ...

Looking as good as new,
As a matter of interest, what paint are you using on the cast iron manifolds?

Re: '72 Escort - Finally!

Real nice car, Loving those pics, as well as some serious respect to you on keeping her on the road. Four dours have always had a charm on their own, well to me anyway. They unlike the Sport 2door models which always had the racey pretensions. Personally I like to keep the family looking sleeper loo...

Re: I Dropped It! Too Much??

Looks awesome man !!,
hows the camber at the rear? You can use a shim plate at the back to rectify the excessive camber.
I didnt lower mine cos didnt want too hard ride,
