Re: My Cortina Restoration has begun!

Ok so after the school fees paid, I redid the spray work on the car on Saturday. Came out a lot better. Before the clear coat. http://i445.photobucket.com/albums/qq172/jcmunnik/Blou%20Ford%20Project/20161029_092716_zpsyy05ouwj.jpg Clear all done and out in the sun; http://i445.photobucket.com/albums...

Re: My Cortina Restoration has begun!

Ok so after a week of letting the car dry and cure I started to do the final flat for the final clear coat. Surprise, Surprise the clear coat is just a coating of orange peal, so I have started the flat process to get a smooth as possible base, putting on another layer of blue and then I will do the...

Re: My Cortina Restoration has begun!

Thanks for the feedback guys! I am an accountant during working hours so this is all a learning experience but I have fixed and worked on all the cars and bikes I have owned myself and I at least know what has been done to my cars and if something breaks or goes wrong it is all my fault, haha! Musta...

Re: My Cortina Restoration has begun!

Hi All, After a lot of time spent on preparing my XLE I decided to DO IT! This is by no means a professional job and I have some small issues I will fix later, but I did it myself and its my choice and I love the outcome! Prepped for colour! http://i445.photobucket.com/albums/qq172/jcmunnik/Blou%20F...

Re: The one and only A2 is back at home

Car looks amazing!

Great job on the repairs!

Just curious about the number on the car? is the photo misleading or does it read 2A instead of A2?

Cheers

Re: 454 Rebuild Help Needed - Do's and Dont's

We have stripped the motor down to the Sub-assembly. Inside looks good to me, no ridge just Carbon build up on the sleeves at the top. http://i445.photobucket.com/albums/qq172/jcmunnik/20160818_201229_zpsed8ugpvo.jpg http://i445.photobucket.com/albums/qq172/jcmunnik/20160818_201239_zpsx8quhyam.jpg V...

Re: 454 Rebuild Help Needed - Do's and Dont's

Thanks Guys, Will see if we can turn it over and what the plugs and valve and oil looks like. Then go from there. My Friend has said he want to get the motor sorted so that he does not need to remove it again after it has been fitted and the project finished. So it all depends on him, I would have s...

454 Rebuild Help Needed - Do's and Dont's

Hi All, I have a friend that has taken on a project that will be great once done but will take some time. He has a decided that the power plant for this project will be a 454 motor with TH700 gearbox. Motor has been sourced from Rocket88 and we are now going to open it to look for any problems. Moto...
