Re: TOP 10 GARAGE

Going to watch him pilot his way around Dezzi's this weekend Gavin, if you bump into Stuart this weekend, please give him my regards. We go back a ways with the Ferrari Club and have also run against each other a few times on the old Gydo Pass Hill Climb in Ceres when I used to run the Can Am in st...

Re: WANTED: Auto Trimmer/Upholsterer in Durban or Pmb?

If I get out there this weekend I'll unwrap them and take a gander at the difference between front and back centre pieces. If not this weekend, hopefully in the course of next week. I'll take some pics. Also w...

Re: OMG....Noooooo!

Friday practise. Under heavy braking for Turn 5 (Cape Town corner) at Killarney. Car snapped left and into the wall. Huge pity as this Capri has been so well built and prepped by a number of folks over the past couple of year.Besides obvious body damage, also broken steering rack, suspension etc. Go...

Re: Firenza V8.

Hi Gavin. I've run various flat tappet cams over the years, generally Crower with around 295-300 full duration. Have had some profiling done on a few of them through the Van De Linde's who also did the flowing and porting on my Camels.

Re: Firenza V8.

The biggest problem I have my Camels is that the spring pad is too small to handle the heavy duty springs we need to run with the roller cam. When we do run that cam I swop over to aftermarket GM ally heads that handle the big springs beautifully. The Classic guys do allow aftermarket ally heads, bu...

Re: Firenza V8.

I've got pics of my Camel heads showing the casting number somewhere on one of my drives. I'll dig them out and post. Mine are def 64cc, straight plug, albeit that we have done a bit of porting and flowing on them. They flow as well as any modern aftermarket ally heads now and keep my car legal for ...

Re: Vintage Truck, classic door signage

My cousin picked up this 48 Chev in Sedgefield and exported it to Sydney two years ago. Has had a full resto by Exodus Customs with 383 stroker crate engine. Nice decals, van is used daily in his cleaning business.
