Re: 66 Mustang 289 - Engine Number

Hi Timothy. The car arrived in SA three weeks ago from the States. Car was bought in LA, RHD conversion was done there, along with the resto work. Was cleared out of Customs in Cape Town, no problems. Just trying to get it onto eNatis now

Re: 66 Mustang 289 - Engine Number

Thanks for all the replies. We have searched this block for a unique engine number without success. Found the casting number behind the starter motor, but nothing else. Now the issue is that when the car was taken for registration /police check etc they insisted on an engine number, which is non-exi...

66 Mustang 289 - Engine Number

Help needed from the Mustang guru's please. A friend has just brought in a 66 Stang GT convertible from the States. He had the RHD conversion done there and the car is a beaut. Has the LOA and now busy with local registration, however nobody can locate the engine number. Any ideas where it should si...

Re: 427 Cobra

Welcome. Very nice intro and a great collection. Love the number of pedal cars you have and would love to see pics of the 108 together.

Re: Help with registration

Thanks Len. This ain't the kinda car to convert to RHD. It's a classic German, big engine, but not muscle. May just pass on it, even though it is a very special example.

Help with registration

OK, here's a poser for the registration boffins out there. I have the opportunity to acquire a pretty rare, collectible car which was imported into SA in 1997. LHD. Deposit lodged with Customs eat time of import, BUT the car has never been registered on E-Natis in SA. What are the chances of a succe...

Re: WANTED: Auto Trimmer/Upholsterer in Durban or Pmb?

OK, got my seats out of the mezzanine at the track garage. Both fronts and rears have the same velour centers on mine. Not sure whether a previous owner had this done or whether this was factory original
