Re: Import

Wow that looks like very good work. I like those rear coil overs!!! I am getting the dropped spindles for USD630 including shipping and then will go the RMS struts and tubular UCA's. I will definitley go the 1 inch torsion bar route but Just Suspension just never gets back to me! I have Billsteins a...

Re: Import

Hi Jay! Awesome car!!! Mine hasn't arrived yet unfortunately. It's still on the ship packed to the brim with parts and bumpers and new rubber etc. I have stripped it completely so it's rust repellant red. The RMS looks very very cool. I have to save a bit for my dropped spindles and then the RMS UCA...

Re: Import

Another special!!!!! I just missed the 159 on ebay one. I'd love to see the rear end you built-see how carefully I worded that! I'm thinking of doing the same. Not sure what discs I'll be running, maybe DBA kangaroo paw discs, I have PBR's or something on the front (300mm) and a remote brake booster...

Re: Import

Already have the Dana 60. The problem with the Aussie Valiant Charger is that it's always been too light in the tail so even with the Hemi 265 it's very easy to spin the tail out. I'm hoping the Dana will keep it a bit firmer. I need new bearings and a kit plus a new diff cover to make it nice. Will...

Re: Import

I am in Cape Town and have worked out that all my parts will come to around R130k minus shipping and vat/customs. Of course I want to do this over time and some of the parts are cheaply available on ebay: Kevko Sportmans 360 oil pan and pick-up K1 forged 4.00 Crank and 6.123 Rods Proform or other pu...

Re: 68 Valiant Barracuda

Keep your 360 and stroke it to 408 or 410 and make 500hp-simple Thats what Im doing. A 383 will make your car handle like a cruise liner-they are too heavy for anythng other than a straight line-have no idea why everyone is so keen on them. You can make amazing power stroking a 360 block and they ar...

Import

Hi everyone,

I am looking to import a lot of parts at different times but am really worried about customs and duties and VAT.

Anyone know how they effect import and if I can claim US tax back-I don't want to pay their tax too!

thanks,

Brett
