Re: Ford Ranchero Gli turbo

Hi so after owning the Ranchero for a close to a year I finally had everything to do a turbo conversion. Let me just say that I fell in love with this truck thats actually more like a car. It handles like a car , drives like one and you can still load a huge amount on the back. https://farm3.static...

Only worry is the gearbox... Please give me more details. year? pictures? turbo details? engine modifications? fue...

Re: Ford Falcon XH Ute

Guys I would keep the old 4.0lt six, freshen it up and then fit a turbo kit. you will be surprised to see it blow most serious V8's into the weeds and you can easily get 500hp without going crazy on internals. or try find the Territory ST motor complete and fit that straight in and you will be happ...

Re: Ford Falcon XH Ute

Hi Racer. Thats the 4.3l? Or is it the 4.7? I dont know much about them specifically but i did help pul a 4.0 in a mahindra. They are rev happy motors and smooth as silk but as with everything its a tradeoff. The jap v8 in my limited experience does not have the grunt of say a 302 but it makes more...

Re: Ford Falcon XH Ute

Hi Leon

I am leaning towards doing a 3uz conversion.

My brother just bought a 1975 Ford Falcon XB ute (1975 Ford Ranchero 500)

It has a Ford 351 Cleveland in it.

It's epic.

Though i think i would like a v8 that revs higher.

If it was my car, I'd go for a stroker 347 Ford V8

What would the cost of that 347 be?

Re: Ford Falcon XH Ute

I'm busy with a Lexus conversion, done well, it is not cheap. If I were in your shoes, I'd rebuilt the Falcon six, and trans. If you want more power, turbocharge it. Well, i was also thinking about that, but i understand that a std rebuild would cost about R15,000 for parts alone. So i figure i cou...
