Cortina MK 1 GT Identification

Hi there guys

Im looking at a MK 1 Cortina GT and cant seem to find any information on decoding the Identification plate.
Was there a specific model designation on the plate to say it is a GT?
What would be the correct engine code for a GT etc?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

Is there any cracks or pitting in the cast metal?

Re: Holden 308 H series timing

To get good oil pressure on a 308 you must file flat the face of the oil pickup that bolts up to the engine block.
Don't use a gasket between the oil pick up and engine block, use a smear of silicone.

Hi all

As the title says, I am after an original XW GT bonnet scoop.
Anyone got one they want to part with?

Cheers

Re: 1971 CHEV KOMMANDO REAR BUMPER

The rear bumper for your car can be purchased new from rare spares in Australia.

Also plenty of second hand ones available that would need rechroming...
Im tipping shipping would cost a fair bit for such a large heavy item.

Re: Holden 308 engine mount

Those early mounts for 308 are even hard to get in Australia now.
