Re: *SOLD* Reliant Kitten for sale

How about this one? Originally a Rover 3500 V8 but now runs a LS1.
Why?
Because they can!

Re: Reliant Kitten for sale

Hi Rassie. Humor and love makes the world go round. I am joking about the lawnmower engine, but I think this body lends itself perfectly for an electric car. Will probably have to use something like a Nissan 1400 donor car for the 'box, diff, suspension and brakes built into a custom chassis. If the...

Re: Reliant Kitten for sale

Re: Good cars with poor engines

1953-59 Ford Prefect and Anglia 100e. Surprisingly good flattie engine, but a three speed box with a huge gap between second and third. Rev in sky-high in second, crash change to third and puttering along at 1000 revs. Later 107E's had the overhead valve motor with 4 speed box, which is a way better...

Re: Seeking Projetcs? Look here.

Hi. I bought my Thames panel van from there, but in hindsight it was not worth it. Took a bunch of pics and saw some really awesome cars that was well beyond saving. It seems Marmic bought all the cars from the guy in Utrecht, kept the best to sell off, and sold the rest to the gent at Melmoth. The ...

Re: Bust the scammers!

Hi I was looking for a garden tractor a while ago and found a bunch of adverts for them, all in little places far away and ridiculously low prices. Same pictures used for tractors in eg. Mosselbaai, Maritzburg and Louis Trichardt, so obviously a scam. After stringing them along for about two weeks I...

Re: Dumb DIY award-do you qualify?

Whilst doing national service in Bloem, I bought and fitted spotlights on my Fiat 125. Drove home to Joburg two weeks later and at Winburg noticed that the alternator was not charging. Lights and radio off, managed to nurse the car to Vanderbijlpark, where we cut some wire at a garage (they used to ...

Re: My 1950's Jalopy

Hi, GT Your car is an approximately 1959/60 Kenmore Beam, made in Selby area, Joburg. It appears very original even with the decals on the front. The person who made Kenmore cars started his apprenticeship at Triang, and this explains why the cars look so similar. The ribs on the grille is different...

This is me.

Hi All. I go by the name of Mountainman, which is a derivative of my real surname (van den Berg). I've allways had a passion for special cars, but in later years this became more specific. At present, I own a 911, Can Am replica, and a few Ford 100E's. Like 14 of them. The Can Am IS A REPLICA, so ev...

Re: Springbok pedal car.

Hi. This may be a late reply, but I only saw the post recently. Your car is a Triang Springbok, and from the wheels I can see it is an early sixties or late fifties car. If the back axle is in a Z-shape it is fifties, but the later cars used a U-type crank back axle. (Triang built pedal cars from 19...
