Brake upgrade

Hi guys,

I need some help. I want to upgrade the brakes on my 1976 MK3 cortina. Any advice?

MKIII Cortina suspension question

Hi Guys,

I swopped the original 1.6 engine in my 1976 Cortina mkIII with a 3.0 V6 Essex. The car was sitting a bit low in the front so I changed coil springs.

My question is: Should the front suspension and brakes be upgraded due to the heavier engine?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Overheating issues

I have a ford 3.0 v6 essex, that keeps overheating. The water rapidly drains from the radiator but there are no visible leaks. I'm thinking head gasket.

Any ideas/advice on what this might be?

Thanks!

Re: Weber 38 running rich

Thanks for the advice. The plugs are fouling after -+ 50km of normal driving, tips burnt pitch black. I'm on my third set of plugs. There is a major amount of fuel going down the throats.

I will have a look at what you suggested, and keep you posted.

Thanks

Weber 38 running rich

Hi, I have a weber 38 on a skyline 2.8 gtx engine. The engine is running rich (plumes of black smoke from exhaust). It was running fine until I had it overhauled and tuned. I have had two different mechanics have a look at it since, but no avail. I switched to smaller jets, and tuned it countless ti...
