Re: Mazda Capella Rotary coupe
The yellow one is as it should be,round headlights, dogbone taillights and flat front, also known as a series 3 RX2.The blue one is the last RX or Capella Rotary with a pointy front. It also has the RS front and rear spoiler, don't know if it is an RS though. The yellow one has been around for ages as fa...

Re: Immigration to Austrailia - Importing vehicles
I moved over here from NZ about 2 and a half years ago but we have different rules being a NZ citizen moving to Aus.I think your best bet will be to call and talk to someone in person at immigration. They will point you in the correct direction. There will always be hidden costs.Don't think there will...

Re: Immigration to Austrailia - Importing vehicles
It all depends on the make, year and model of the cars. They normally charge 10% on the value of the car and 5% on the freight cost.Older cars,pre89 is easier to get in under special interest cars. You have to submit an application to the Government first before you can import any car. They have to give...

Re: FAST FORDS
The Barra has been following in the 2JZ footsteps.Alot of the kits availiable now is to de-stroke to 3.8 to make them rev more.We have a lot of street driven Falcons running 7-800hp.The engines can make decent power with minimal mods.My friend had a Territory in NZ making 650hp,daily driver, even his...

Re: FAST FORDS
Seen all of these in person on the track, actually saw the blue Cortina yesterday at Jamboree run some 6 second passes. It is very impressive how they can run those times on a 275 radial tyre. The main radial tyre class is all mostly 8th mile now as the cars get to unstable at high speed on the quarter...

Re: 4x2 Lexus 1UZ VVTi conversion options
Here in Australia I am just going to buy a complete running LS400 or a Toyota Soarer and use what I need and scrap the rest.I can pic up running cars for anything from about $800.There will be a way around the speedo issue, will sort that out when the time comes. The diff ratio could be an issue depen...

Re: 4x2 Lexus 1UZ VVTi conversion options
I am busy looking into a lexus conversion at the moment and still have to deside on wich car to use, either Hilux,Mazda or Isuzu. The hilux gearbox is not a bolt on at all,you will either need an adaptor and modify the auto bellhousing or go with a complete new bellhousing conversion.the standard ECU ...

Re: Vintage Chevies on sale, haven’t been driven
The auction of these cars has been hyped up all over for months and all the cars and parts sold for way more than any of it was worth. Most of the cars has been sitting outside for all these years, they towed all the cars to one location for the auction.Must have been the auction fever getting to the ...
