Valiant Barracuda

Valiant Barracudas are nearly identical to the Plymouth Barracudas of the US. The were assembled in South Africa from 1967 to 1971 and sold as Valiants. They are beautiful cars with the fastback design. In the US the Formula S version is starting command quite a good price, here we also have Formula S versions. There must be very few Valiant Barracuda Formula S's in the world.

The Formula S's must have been available with the 383 cu in engine, this would give them the following performance figures:

  • 0-60 mph in 7.5 seconds
  • 300 bhp

Here is an advert of the time showing the barracuda at the bottom.
