I am not going to do much on her until I got her registered.
So today I just washed her and flushed the engine water.

Apparently the luggage rack was an optional OEM extra when one ordered the car?

Took some pics:

I haven't measured anything yet, but from a quick view it seems like the front suspension is almost identical to that of my 1973 Constantia. What I do find interesting is that the Constantia has coil springs all round and the Pontiac has leave springs at the rear, Pontiac is 7 years younger than the Constantia and is a "sports" car but has leave springs ? Wow! That interior is in fantastic condition!

I'd be tempted to leave the paint as it, its really cleaned up very nicely in my opinion.

Nah the paint job is very bad. Paint is peeling and then the original silver shows.
They also painted most of the rubbers red, it was really a bad paint job.
I am however not in a great rush to repaint it.

I am very tempted in doing it in red again.

I wonder if one looks at a value point of view; it will never have the original paint again which is first price. So for second price will it loose much value if I paint it the correct red of the time compared to taking it back to the correct silver? To me it is not only about the looks, it must also have maximum value.

Yours seems to be a fancier trim so may have had a little tray?

If you are going to paint it, I would go black & leave the red interior. It is not going to affect value if not factory color. People will buy it for what it looks like & what memories / emotions it stirs up. But enjoy her for at least 6 months before you do anything. You know how it goes, panel shop promises 2 months and it takes 8.....

As for the gap, just put a blank in there to cover.

What it does need is the Screaming Chicken on the hood! Great buy, enjoy!

That interior looks mint! 8O

Suppose the leaf springs took better to drag racing, which was more important than cornering.

It's your car Pieter, if you repaint, do it in a colour you like. It's more important to be of good quality, than matching the paint tag.
Value wise, I think it would be very difficult to estimate which colour, factory silver, black, red or other, would hold more value. If you stick to an era correct colour, there can't be much difference between them. Most famous without a doubt, is the black Bandit car.

Sorry, but curiosity is getting to me, what's she look like underhood, how is she running?
Always been intrigued by how good, those turbo engine could be, with modern engineering...

I think the missing console part, is the forward "map pocket"
