Two door gxl

Post by Bigdyer05 » Tue 08 Sep 2015, 08:59

Starting the welding on the two door today
I was going to sell it but I've changed my mind
I'm going to restore it to a low standard as I need a car on the road so please don't look at it and think oh is this the treatment the perana is going to get because there's restoring a car and there's putting one on the road lol
On the road is quick and simple so that's the treatment the two doors getting
I bought this 10 months ago with the view of restoring it to a A1 standard as it's a rare old motor here in the uk with only a handle full surviving but then the perana came into the equation
It's solid in all the right places but does need a bit of welding so that's the plan today
Again with the pictures the files to big
Ile jump on the laptop later and post pictures
Cheers steve

Cut the first bit out nice and square
I have to take the picture then edit crop and zoom to allow me to attach so I apologise for the poor shots in advance

Very nice project, is this a 1600? Pinto or Kent?

We didn't get any 2 door Cortina's from the Mk3 onwards in SA.

Nice project buddy. I drove a '76 3.0 GL like this. Stunning car. Really solid bodies as well.

I would love to get another one.

Hi Steve you should be able to resize your pics in picture manager without the need to crop and zoom.
Cheers
